  • Free bus transfer – a ski bus especially for Hintertux guests leaves for the cable car valley station every five minutes (bus stop directly opposite our hotel)

HINTERTUX GLACIER

With 86 pristinely prepared powder snow pistes, a 12 km long abfahrt into the valley and 100% guaranteed snowy ski fun from October through May, the Hintertux Glacier is not only a destination for skiers; a snow park of the highest level with a super pipe, kickers, rails and boxes will make any snowboarder and free skier’s heart leap.

The panorama terrace at 3250 m above sea level, offering a breathtaking view of the surrounding 3000 m peaks, and the Natural Ice Palace – a naturally grown glacier crevasse made accessible to visitors – are another two very special highlights.
Testers of the SKIAREA have rated the Hintertux Glacier as the “best glacier ski resort worldwide”.

The Ski- & Gletscherwelt Zillertal 3000 offers 199 km of prepared pistes in the four ski resorts Hintertux Glacier, Eggalm, Rastkogel, Finkenberg/Penken – a dream come true for any winter sports fan.

Modern lifts & cable ways connect the different ski resorts, such as the nr. 150 Tux (Penken/Finkenberg – Sonnenplateau Rastkogel) or the new and one of a kind „6y Lattenalmbahn“, a weather proof 6 seater chair lift with heated seats (Rastkogel – Eggalm).

30 rustic rest points are perfect for anything from a laid back snack to an Après-Ski party. The glacier cable car valley station is located close to our Ski Hotel Gletscher in Tux, your Hotel Kössler.

Glacier Round
Conquer a total sum of 15.000 altitude metres and 60 km of abfahrt pistes on the Glacier Round, crossing all 4 ski resorts.

CROSS COUNTRY SKIING

14 km of classic cross country skiing trails from Vorderlanersbach to Madseit, as well as a 14 km long skating track between Juns and Madseit are available to all cross country skiing enthusiasts.

TOBOGGANING FUN

As an alternative activity to skiing and snowboarding, why not take a day to go on a tobogganing excursion, or a moonlit hike followed by a fun sleigh ride back into the valley?

  • Bichlam (in Hintertux) 3 km of floodlit tobogganing runs
  • Höllenstein hut (from Lanersbach) 4 km of floodlit tobogganing runs
  • Grieralm (in Juns) 5 km of floodlit tobogganing runs

All huts can also be reached by taxi.

BUS CONNECTIONS

When in Tux, you can leave your car parked throughout your entire holiday without missing out on anything the valley has to offer:

  • Hintertux Glacier Bus
    The free shuttle is your two-way connection between Hintertux village and the valley station of the Hintertux Glacier cable cars.
  • Tux Sport Bus
    Free with the Tux-Finkenberg Ticket, between Vorderlanersbach and Hintertux.
  • 2-Euro-Nightliner
    You don’t even have to miss out on the night life.
    For only 2 EUR per trip / person, the Nightliner is your connection between Vorderlanersbach and Hintertux until 02:00 hrs in the morning.
